The Jazz Alliance
The Jazz Alliance is a 17-piece big-band established in 2005 by saxophonist Bill Atchley. This Raleigh, North Carolina based group performs classic and contemporary big band jazz. The band is the "jazz group in residence" at Meredith College in Raleigh. The Jazz Alliance is available for jazz concerts and other performances.

On November 4, 2007, the Jazz Alliance performed a public concert of the big band music of Buddy Rich at Jones Auditorium, Meredith College. Drummer Dave Albert (pictured here with Buddy Rich) and the band played to a large and enthusiastic audience. The performance was recorded live and a link to several of these recordings is provided below.
